Ben finishes 5th in National Points Series
Bike NZ’s Inaugural road National Points Series has just completed
It’s a season long (July 08 – April 09) and includes all the big general and club bike events (ie K2, Taupo, Rev 120 etc).
I’ve come out 5th overall, despite crashing off the podium in the K2, and being ill at Taupo…
It was a 6 best out of 11 series, with trophies down to fifth place.
I rode 8 of the races, scoring top ten results in 4, top fifteen in 2, one DNF (Taupo) due to illness, and one low placed finish - the week after Taupo.
It’s great to have completed the series, and I’m pleased to have come out with a prize.
Paul & Tracey at Avanti have been supportive and enthusiastic throughout the season – a big thanks to them.
Now time for some rest, before thinking about next season
