Fiona gets Silver
Fiona won a silver medal at the Elite Track Champs in Invercargill
. She won silver in her key event – the women’s para-cycling 3000m individual pursuit with a time of 4.04.823.
Because fields are small, para cyclists must reach target times to be awarded a medal.
She also competed in the 500mTT but did not medal.
This awesome effort helps enhance her chances of selection for the NZ Para-cycling team for London 2012.
Fiona is heading off to the World Track Champs in Italy on Friday ....we wish her all the best .....
Go hard and bring home Gold !!!
