What a wicked weekend down in Nelson for round 3 of the NZ MTB Cup!

Loads of great spectators cheering and yelling, photographers everywhere and just an all round great atmosphere. As for the race itself, where to start! After recovering from a cold I had a good start behind Anton Cooper (last years NZ and Aus national champ) into the single track, however it didn’t last long as my cold got the better of me until the last lap where I cramped up and came off getting a pinch flat 1km from the finish, so I ran to the line just managing to grab 6th place. Despite all this I had an awesome time! Also a big thanks to the Daniels for having me over the weekend and of coarse AvantiplusWhangarei for always being there.
