Marsden Wheeler Summer Cycling for Juniors
During December and January there will be Saturday morning coaching and competitive events and midweek group rides.
Marsden Wheelers Junior Cycling Series Summer 2010/11
Over summer the Marsden Wheelers have an exciting junior programme which will appeal to all riders.
Highlights include looking at time trial position with video analysis and junior prize races. Training builds up to the longest race of 35 or 75km at the end of January. This race will have cash prizes for juniors and seniors depending on numbers.
Cycling sessions to teach riders the basics of road cycling.
Programme aimed at school aged boys or girls year 8 upwards and their parents.
Parents and other riders very welcome to ride with the group or assist as marshals.
Saturday sessions involve coaching and a competitive event. Cost $2 each session.
Wednesdays are group rides with a focus on skills. No charge.
Run by Ruth and Jonathan Jarman – Marsden Wheelers Cycling Club. Both are experienced competitive cyclists and cycling coaches – Ruth is a UCI Level 2 Cycling Coach.
