Northland Secondary School Champs

11th May 2010

It was great to see so many riders out there taking part in The Secondary School Champs (even if it was just a day off school for some of you) but hopefully an enjoyable day and some of you may have even got “hooked”. It is a great sport to be involved in and if any of you young riders are thinking of getting a bit more involved The Marsden Wheelers are a fantastic Club Ruth and Jonathon Jarman put so much time and effort into the young riders and get some great results.

Kia ora everyone

It was a great day on Tuesday - just a small shower at the start of U15’s RR. I think the photos tell it all.  Below is a link to the Northern Advocate article and attached are the results.

This is the first time we have used Kara Hall and the course on Kokopu Road for this event – any feedback would be appreciated.

A big thank you to all the riders for being great sports people, the parents and Marsden Wheelers members who helped all day, Paul and Tracey from AvantiPlus for bike checks and donating spot prizes and the events team from Sport Northland for traffic management and results.

Stayed tuned for more information as we have an exciting programme planned for junior club members over the next few months.
