Chubby Hale takes out the most aggressive rider shirt at the Bev May 2 day tour last weekend

This shirt represents the rider that does the most attacking, breakaways and as well as doing much of the work in the front of the peloton. Hale showed her aggression on stage 3 of the tour by winning sprints and hill climbs against some of the best elite women cyclists in New Zealand. The tour consisted of a 21km time trial on Saturday morning followed by a 70km road race later that afternoon. Then on Sunday there was an 80km road race, then a 30mintunes criterium in the afternoon. Hale finished her time trail in 6th place, but soon worked her way up the leader board to 2nd place by the end of the criterium. Hale came out with a 2nd place overall and the “most aggressive” rider shirt.
Chubby Hale is now heading down to Wellington compete in the NZCT women’s tour of New Zealand. The Avanti plus Whangarei rider will be competing against cycling teams from; China, Japan, USA, Norway, Australia as well as the New Zealand national road team.

Hale said “I am looking forward to this race as I will be able to compete against some of the best women cyclist in the world”.
